Assignment 2

Please try to work on the following questions individually. If you have difficulties, you can work with other students. However, you are required to turn in the assignment individually. Do not include any unnecessary information.

1. Fifteen men and fifteen women in an introductory psychological statistics course have taken their midterm exams. Their scores are listed here. (For gender, 1=male and 2=female) Create an SPSS data file using the data below. Name the variables “gender” and “score”. Make sure to add the value labels for “gender.”

Hint: Since there are two variables, you are only creating two columns. You can add the column for “student”, if you like, but it is not necessary.
