a. Carry out a chi-square test manually.

2. Lambda

a. Calculate Lambda manually

b. Is the relationship weak or strong?

3. SPSS (Visit the course web page and find the lecture notes for Chi-square and Lambda under SPSS.)

a. Replicate the chi-square test results using SPSS.

b. Highlight the number that shows how significant the relationship is. (Use the Chi square table.) What is the confidence level at which the association is reaching? (Use the significance level and calculate the confidence level. Confidence level=(1-significance)*100. Can you reject the null hypothesis? Is the relationship statistically significant?

c. Highlight the lambda statistic that shows the strength. Is the relationship weak or strong?
