Join Ball State Basketball Coach James Whitford as he talks about using basketball analytics to recruit and improve game performance. Over the last 10 years, the use of analytics has changed the landscape of basketball. In player evaluation, we now have access to accurate statistics on players performance through various levels of competition. What do these statistics tell us about players. What statistics are likely to translate to high performance vs increased levels of competition, and which ones serve as "red flags" about a players ability to make the jump?

In team play, we have often heard about those players that are great team players without necessarily showing it in the box score. New metrics can help us determine which players are actually impacting the statistic that matters most. the final score.
